Canon NEW IPF 780 / 785 / 680 / 685 Models Released
Canon USA released 6 new models to their award winning line of Imageprograph large format printers and plotters.
The new 680 and 780 line of printers includes new PFI701 (130ml) and PFI702 (300ml) ink tanks offers wide-format printing customers the choose to purchase 130ml ink tanks to 300ml ink tanks. The larger capacity ink cartridges allow customers to print much longer between changes and also allows consumers to lower large format printing costs by purchasing ink at a lower cost per mililiter. Large format plotting customers can save up to 30% on ink usage costs by upgrading to the new Canon 680/780 plotters.
The new machines can produce d-size prints in 21 seconds and e-size prints in 41 seconds.
The new 680 series of Canon printers boast a much needed upgraded stacking system. The new 680 and 685 now feature similar print and plan stacking to the predecessor 760/765 line.
Canon also announced product enhancements to the Canon IPF MFP line of printers and scanners for architects and contractors. The largest ehnahncement is the ability to scan directly to multi-page pdf, a key function to available on earlier Canon large-format MFP models.
Another product enhancement for the new Canon 780 MFP and Canon 785 MFP is the ability to scan up to 315" in length - almost double the previous limitation of 120".
Lastly, Canon introduced an IPAD Printing App that works with the new models.
